Overnight at Jantar Mantar: Sleeping on Pavements for Accountability

What Happened

As the protest enters its third day, the pavements of Jantar Mantar have turned into a makeshift community. Students and young professionals sleep on thin mattresses under police deployment. Volunteers coordinate food and drinking water distribution. A reading library has been set up with books on public policy, accountability, and constitutional law, turning the protest site into an educational space.

Why It Matters

Despite allegations of water and lighting restrictions, the movement has maintained strict peaceful standards and public order. It demonstrates the self-organized capability of Gen-Z students who are translating academic frustration into constructive civic engagement.

We will sleep on pavements, we will read books, we will sit peacefully. We do not need permission to demand our future back.
